Nutes: when and what

so iv just got some quick questions about nutes.

#1 when should i start using nutes??
#2 what kind are best? im trying to stay cheap. iv heard using beer is a good idea? also iv heard diluting piss can work well??? can any1 confirm these as true or false?

my plant is about 2 and a half weeks old.

ok... what are nutes? they are nutrients. you will see 3 numbers on your bottle of nutes, this stands for the NPK Nitrogen, phosphorus and potash (potassium). high nitrogen for vegging and the other two can be high for flowering.

i would recommend foxfarm, just cause that is what i use. you can get them at your local hydro store or online. there are 3 bottles total, one for vegging and two for flowering. like 15-20 bucks per bottle and they last a long time. you dont have to buy them all at once so if you can afford 20 bucks at any given time then you can afford them.

i usually give my plants nutes two to three weeks into vegging. start with a quarter strength of the recommended amount and work your way up from there over the next few waterings.

too much nutes can burn your plants, so if they get yellow and burnt on the leaves after nuteing them then give them less the next time. some plants are more sensitive than others.



dont use beer or piss, bad idea.
