get a tds meter. Dont add nutrients until the plant has about 6 inches and at least 10 good leaves. The soil has plenty of nutes in it to start. keep in mind that the little bit you do add is just homeopathic for the plant, most of the nutes will come from the soil through rhizoidal processes. You are just trying to give it that last 10percent boost.
Start the grow nutes at about 200 ppm. Then water it every other watering with the nutes. move the nutes up 50ppm each time you feed. You can usually get the pla7nt up to about 600 easy, sometimes to about 750 is my max. Watch the leave tips and the leaf color you are looking for a little yellowing or browning at the leaf tip and a darkening of the leaf towards a very dark green, sometimes you get a bluish or purpleish tint depending on the strain. At that point don't increase your nutes tds anymore. And only feed every other watering. With soil keep all your waterings at about 6.5 pH.
I like to add superthrive, CaMg, and kelp tea also to my grow nutes, but I always take my final tds readings after all the ingredients are in the water.
Dude, get a tds meter.
