get a tds meter. Dont add nutrients until the plant has about 6 inches and at least 10 good leaves. The soil has plenty of nutes in it to start. keep in mind that the little bit you do add is just homeopathic for the plant, most of the nutes will come from the soil through rhizoidal processes. You are just trying to give it that last 10percent boost.

Start the grow nutes at about 200 ppm. Then water it every other watering with the nutes. move the nutes up 50ppm each time you feed. You can usually get the pla7nt up to about 600 easy, sometimes to about 750 is my max. Watch the leave tips and the leaf color you are looking for a little yellowing or browning at the leaf tip and a darkening of the leaf towards a very dark green, sometimes you get a bluish or purpleish tint depending on the strain. At that point don't increase your nutes tds anymore. And only feed every other watering. With soil keep all your waterings at about 6.5 pH.

I like to add superthrive, CaMg, and kelp tea also to my grow nutes, but I always take my final tds readings after all the ingredients are in the water.

Dude, get a tds meter.

If you're willing to meter for tds, you might as well meter for pH as well. There are a lot of combo meters out there that offer both. I use an Oakton multitester 4 parameter meter(pH, tds, cond, salt). I paid about $150 for it but you can get a digital meter for less. Get the meter with calibration solutions included in the package. I find once I calibrate the meter will hold the calibration for many months if I just keep the probe end submerged in tap water between uses.

You may want to consider using a certain amount of worm castings in your soil mix. I use a pretty tame soil (MG Organic) so I like to beef it up with about 50% worm castings. I don't change my pots very often so the worm castings are very valuable as the grow progresses to completion.

I use Biobizz mate - from what I can see (week 5 of flowering) its doing an excellent job! I use BioGrow, BioBloom, Top Max & Leaf Coat, all Organic and all recommended to me by an established grower. I also added a bit of Advanced Nutrients Bud Blood in their first week of flowering and have some Advanced Nutrients Overdrive for their last 2 weeks.

I have been using it on normal fem seed plants so can't comment on using them with an AutoFlower but I have a Lowryder/AK47 Auto that has just started so will be doing research to find when I can use it as Auto's go straight into flower..!
