Nutrient Question?

I was just looking at some nutrient and I was wondering if there's such thing as a nutrient being too high in any of the three main nutrients (NPK)? I already know you want a higher nitro for vegging and a high Phos and Potassium. But is there like a average ratio of all three that people strive for in the different stages of growth?

I know that. I guess what I'm really asking is what's a high NPK or what's too low. Is there such thing as a too high N,P, or K rating?

you have to figure out what is "high" for your plants. A well rounded 5-3-4 is good for veg. Dont use a 10-60-10 for veg. Its all about preference man and learning what your plants want and when. Read some of uncle bens threads.

Just experiment and learn botany basics, that's all im doing atm, and doing great by the way. Grow some tomatoes or something else, its all about gardening and learning. Do it.

The higher the numbers, the more diluted they must be once they are in contact with your plants. A 100% nitrogen fertilizer, if such a thing could exist, would just require a hell of a lot of water to not burn your plants.

The numbers can be too LOW-- particularly if you are concerned with TDS in a hydro setup.
