what is a good nutrient ratio. i got 7-9-5 for the grow and 3-12-6 for the bloom. I took the advice from the person at the hydro store so i hope he didn't mislead me. the nutrients are dyno-gro. so rollitup... did i make a mistake? I read in a book that you should have a high K rating for the first couple weeks and the grow has 7... please help a noob.

They will work just fine as long as you change the reservoir every week or so. Depends a lot on the type of system ie inert media hydro, DWC, low pressure aero, NTF bubble ponic etc as well as mixed strength (EC) and pH. They are both hydro formulas with all the other secondary and minor nutrients I assume? What is the brand of the bloom formula. Not many hydro formulas with a high phopshorus are sold as it is more difficult to mix generally without also having a high potassium.

In general for hydro I just recommend the GH Flora series. They are better priced than AN and just as good.

I use GH and it seems to work just fine... I don't run the ppm they say i should be at, I think its to much... but don't really know, Its my first grow. I buy my nutes from the grow store just for fun, I learned that if you want to buy meters and equipment, you should stay with the store, because if they break you can exchange for a new one....I bought a meter on line and it broke in one week, had to buy a new one from the grow shop ( Way To Grow ) and if I have any problems with that one I can take it back and exchange, even on Sunday if need be.
