Seems Obama isnt done playing kingmaker and empire builder.

In the meantime, the military budget is being cut by 1/2 a trillion dollars.

not as bad as if we had suddenly taken everyone out all at once the day obama was inaugurated.

face it, obama made a promise, as you pointed out, that the first thing he would do is to get the troops out of iraq. mere days after assuming office, he directed the military to do just that.

I believe the "power vacuum" is inevitable regardless of the time-line. There is a huge difference between Paul's foreign policies and Obama's policies. Obama promised to end one war but continue harassing other nations near our oil. Paul wants to rethink our foreign policies all together. For the record, I think Obama is more sensible than Romgingtorum would be.

What we are arguing is that Obama promised to bring the troops home immediately.
