Odor Control ONA and a Perlite Bucket? Accurate?

Simply drill 1/2 inch holes around the top of a 5 gallon bucket. Fill the bucket with perlite or absorbent crystals and then add an odor neutralizer or masking agent chemical.
Odor neutralizing agents such as ONA are definitely more effective than those that merely mask odors.

How effective is this? DO they mean to get the bucket filled with perlite with holes and then pour the solution over it?

I want to put this in with my plants.

I'm in a JR 1 Bedroom apartment and the smell majority is being vented but you can still smell it when you walk in.

Thank you CSI Stickyvicky. Like I mentioned Im in a JR 1 Bedroom so no room to put by the front door, would this work if I put it in the closet with the plants?

The growroom is sealed and it's venting through a dryer hose out the window but still there is a smell. Just needed something. Also, it's in the same room I sleep in.

You can put it where ever. I had mine in a separate room, closer to the front door, so that any people who knocked would be treated to ONA and not skunk. If you put it with the plants, it might make your buds smell like ONA, not sure, but it might.

Hmmmm... maybe beside the closet then. Doesn't look like you had much in the bucket, the site said to fill the bucket with perlite and ONA. Looks like you got some crystals and ONA just near the bottom. Would more last longer and less time topping it off?

In my experience, it's best to add a little bit every couple of days. If you add a lot, it smells a lot, but no matter how much you add, it wears off within a few days. Mine was no perlite, just water, crystals, and ona.

I have never used ONA .

Would you say it is a strong masking agent or does it really remove the smell? Curious.

Strong masking agent. The best one there is, but still just a mask.
