Going to do 3 grows of OG Kush and see how well I do at breeding. This is small scale just to have seeds and give to people. Only have 15 regulars, hoping it is enough to get some decent offspring. Should be loads of fun.

Starting off with 7 first grow and grow from there. I will be attempting to keep the males and females separate and do selective pollination.

Just threw the first 7 seeds straight in happy frog. 3 days later (June 4) all have sprouted. Looking lovely. Thank you Seedsman and HSO!!

Thought I would post results from my last grow on this setup since I hadn't done a journal for a few grows. 9 plants mixed strains. Just short of a QP. Tastes fantastic. Also I have another grow half way through right now. Feel like I'm doing OK with this set up.

15 days old photo update. They are starting to take off. Going to top them this week.

Day 17: Gave them a dose of nutes. Cal mag, big bloom, grow big. 305 PPM. I spritz them several times a day because I have flowers in week 6 in the same room. The OG seedlings are currently under a 100 watt 4 bulb T5, I just started switching all 4 bulbs on the other day.
Was going to top today but want to hurry out kayaking so will do tomorrow.
Also a couple pics of the tent these will go in. Week 6. They shouldn't be as dense as this grow was. I didn't defoliate obviously. This is just my 200 watt viparspectra on it's own. If the potency is still there I am just running this by itself from now on. Will see in a couple weeks. They are frosty.

Day 18: Topped the 2 tallest. I am guessing they are males or I have 2 phenos. Not sure. The other five are squat with tight nodes.
I think they like the nutes. They are in used Happy Frog right now. I usually spend so little time in veg I never use the Grow Big with new HF. They are ready to repot, half of them feel like they could almost use water again already. If I have to I will pull my other crop early, it is being flushed already.

Evening update: went in to check on them before lights out and they needed watered, were getting droopy. They are up to half gallon a day. I do have some six inch pots but hate to transplant them an extra time for such a small gain. Will sleep on it.

Day 19: About to transplant into 6" pots to buy myself a week. Can't keep them moist.
Don't want to rush the flower tent, they are stacking up nice putting on the weight. Gave them thier final watering.

Transplant is finished. Looking good. As long as they still look good I will top the rest tomorrow.

Day 21: Topped the last baby. It has tight nodes and I used my fingers and may have truly FIM'd it.
Also the tallest one is going nuts so I took it down another node.
Everything is looking good.

Harvested the tent today. They are only in day 53 from flipping to 12/12. Def could have went longer but needed to get them cut. Yield might not be quite as high as last time. Got a few pictures with some leaves removed. Half of one plant had already been harvested. These are not the OG.

Day 26: Gave them 370 ppm nutes last night. Just been LSTing them. Went a little too hard this morning. Oopsy. Broke a top off so I super cropped it. Was one of the tall ones. And got a little tiny bit of fracture on two other ones, should be ok though. Guess I was being careless. Plenty of growth though it shouldn't matter much. Will try to be more gentle.

Going to try to get my buds trimmed today so I can transplant the OG into the tent tomorrow. At some point before flower I want to get a preventative Azamax treatment on. The goal is to get them flipped by the end of the week.
Some notes about my previous grow: the smoke is higher quality but the yield is lower. I think the main reason the yield is low is because I harvested early. Other variables we're I used less nutes and still got tip burn, I used 2/3 the light, and I got to select these seeds from plants I grew.

Been a hazey week. Didn't have much time to update.
Day 31: Transplanted the OG into the final pots in the tent. Veg switch only on Viparspectra.
Day 34(today): First day of 12/12. Light on full power but 30" off the canopy. Will lower it a couple inches a day. They are looking really good I think.

Day 41(Day 1 flower): Looks like I ended up with 2 females and 5 males. Not the ratio I was hoping for but should be ok. At least I won't have to grow out males next time. First time I ever hoped for more stretch.
Since they will be seeded I am going to start some freebies to make sure my supply stays high. Was thinking about it anyways.
Still have 8 OG seeds left, and like 11 freebies left.
The two smallest were the females so that seems to hold true. Hope they have some stretch left.

Flower day 2: First bloom nutes at 450 ppm total including the 100-150ppm in the spring water. Probably a bit too strong this early. Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Bud Candy, and Cal-Mag.

I went ahead and Azamaxed at lowest strength, I usually don't do it this late but thet don't really have buds yet and I got paranoid. Should have done it sooner, honestly was just lazy.

Pulled a male just because it was flowering so much slower. It was also the one I had to top twice. It was healthy and strong but pulled just for the sake of uniformity. 5 were overcrowded in there as well.

Started 2 RQS Diesel Autos as well. Never grew autos. Supposedly 8-9 week full life cycle. Will just be putting them where there is extra light, maybe even on the porch.

Also my tent got over 90 yesterday, just swapped to my other window AC and cooled it down nicely. The old one just wasn't getting it done anymore.

1 week in flower: There is a moderate size and color difference between the 2 girls, but they look good, should fill in the canopy ok. I prefer it stuffed full.

Pulled 2 males this morning, one hermied, the buds we're like males but pistols coming out everywhere, and it was growing poorly. The other one was just kind of growing more viney and stretchy and slow flowering.
The 2 remaining males are looking great, one is starting to drop pollen, the other looks like it will by the end of the day.

I am surprised at the variation in these plants, I expected more consistency, not going to judge until I smoke the flowers.

Struggling to get these auto freebies germinated. 1 out of 4 has sprouted.

Flower day 8(yesterday): I put the males on the porch, couldn't keep them out of the light, and they are dropping pollen. Pics included are the males. Nothing special.
Fed the girls. I think I used too much perlite in my mix, I already have to water every other day.

Day 9: Collected some pollen. Got a good bit, at least enough for one grow. Going to let them go a couple more days and collect again then chop them. Mixing with flour and put into freezer. Hopefully stays viable until my next grow at least.

Day 15: Honestly this canopy is embarrassing. Maybe I will learn something from it. Not the plants' fault, they are looking good.

Got some other stuff growing too I'm not going to keep a journal on. 1/4 auto freebies sprouted. Thought I did something wrong so I planted some of my old fem seeds, they sprouted.
Going to grow 4 fems on the porch to see if the lighting works out. The RQS Diesel Auto is in the cabinet under a blurple. It will either finish under T5 or sunlight.

Day 20: Getting some nice smells coming on, fruity pine. Sticky snow getting thicker every day. I am pleased with the quality of the plants so far. The canopy bothers me but it isn't too bad. Just all my main colas are on the perimeter. I am glad it filled in as much as it did with the short veg.

4 weeks in: OG plants are looking and smelling killer. The phenos vary significantly.

Decided to pollinate 2 buds today. Could have went better. One of my bags of pollen had droplets of water in it because it got something warm put against it I guess. I tried to use it but the flour doughed up on the brush and buds. I went ahead and used the other bag lower on the buds. It looked way better. Not sure It will still be good for another grow. Will probably grow more males. Next time I think I will try glass vials and dry rice.

I put 8 OG seeds in peat pellets the other day. Waiting for sprouts. Not sure if I will do a new journal or keep this one going for them.

My Diesel auto is starting to flower as well. As expected it isn't going to finish in 8-9 weeks from seed.
