ok 4 seeds cracked out of 10 (question)

what would be the chances of having a female? scared they may all be males. waiting on one more day (using the glass method of germinating and tomorrow is my 3rd day) to see if the roots stretched out more. the glass (water) is now empty but the pape towel is still wet


another question. i have a 400w MH but haven't gotten the chord or reflector yet. would i really need a ballast? or could i use a fan?

and

when it is time to put in the nutrients............do i just use a particular nutrient once that day? or if i have to water it again the same day, use it again? or just water with no nutrients? i don't want to end up giving it too much

50% chance of getting a female. Keep the paper towel moist, and keep watching the seeds after the 3rd day- some seeds will even wait 12 days to pop.. they're all different.

Yes, you do need the ballast. You need every piece for lamp.

Don't add any type of nutes until the plant is about a month old.

ok, TY! been mostly just reading the newbie forums of the FAQ

i give my plants a shot or two of nitrogen and potassium as well as a root stimulator once they go under a veging light(+- 2-3wks since the seed popped)
And it's safe to work on a 50% male female ratio, altho u could end up with all males or all females.the males usually tend to grow quicker and taller than the females during veging, but once u start flowering ull be able to tell 4 sure...

and try use a HPS bulb instead of a MH during flowering....ull get much more bud
