Ok so a clone questions please help

ok so its still a wile before i can get some but i just planted seeds about 3 weeks ago (11 plants to be exact) and so im guessing about half will turn female but i want to get clones off them for the next generation when can i start cutting them off and do i do it when i can tell the gender of the plants or do i just cut them off and so how keep track of which ones came off what plant and when can i start picking clones off plants and how many can i take off one plant and how soon thank you for your time.

Usually you can take clones once the plant shows it is mature. This can be indicated by when the plant starts to alternate the nodes. This is usually by node 4 or 5. I usually take one clone from each plant, identify it, root it and then put it on 12/12 in order to identify sex. Once they identify sex, you kill all the males and take your clones from the known females. By then they should have grown out some. I find that the strain I am growing shows sex 10-14 days into the flowering cycle. I use different colored straws to identify which clones came from which plants.
