ok whats the deal with lumens and other lights

ok so i hear high lumens are good or something for the lighting ...well some lady in home depot told me that this light the philips br40 agro-lite works well for growing inside .. but i looked up the light its 120 watts and says 0 output lumens .. says the bulb is made for indoor plant growing... this confuses me can somone clear this upplease?

0 lumens is some kind of misprint, the bulb has lumens, try a google to find the specs on the company website

Yea it has to have lumens, lumens simply means the intensity of the light or the power of the light and how the human eye perceives the brightness of the light. Its a measuring device like inches or litters you should get a HID if you wanna grow bud, the amount of fluorescents you would need to grow bud like HIDSdo would be a mess so just do yourself a favor and get the HID the first time.

i got my lights and almost everything, there all kinds of shops on ebay and also i get what they call ebucks ( credit that i can use every 3 months ) for things that i buy. i do have one shop i buy from htgsupplys. they have always done me right. also there r lots of bids on almost everything U need for growing , on ebay
