I started from the bottom and looked up. Then, i see a grasshopper just sittin on one of the leaves. It scared the crap outta me. Then i went to check it out later then i see some of the leaves have been partially eaten. I also see a dropping. I have a feeling they eat other smaller pests such as amphids i saw earlier. So, are they good for the plants?

Cliffnotes:
-I see grasshopper on plant
-It partially ate a couple leaves leaving behind droppings
-Had feeling they eat smaller pest such as amphids
-Are they good for plants?

Grasshoppers will ravage the fan leaves, but tend to leave new foliage alone. This is good in small amounts as it causes the plant to stress and as we all know, small amounts of stress will increase the growth and potentially the potency of you're bud. I would recommend only using pest control on the upper fan leaves, and leaving the bottom ones to feed the grasshoppers. If you plan on lollipopping your plant, you'll lose those leaves anyway. The grasshoppers will leave the upper growth alone and do your lower pruning for you!
