One glorious plant ready to harvest- what to do?

Hi all, I'm brand new to this forum but from browsing around, you guys seem super helpful. I have a noobie question!

I have one buddhaXnorthern lights plant about ready to harvest. I've pushed it to 9 weeks and 2 days now. The top buds are ready to harvest but the ones on the bottom have fresh white hairs. I've read that you can harvest top buds and let the bottom ones mature but if I trim off the queen bud, for example, will it kill the plant? Also, I am going to have a little, not a lot, of super crystally trim. Is there a good way other than finger hash to get the best out of it?

Thanks so much for your help! Happy toking! :weed:

CONGRATZ! To start out and as far as the Dieing thing goes your plant doesn't even "die" when you chop it fully down for a day or so... so i think you will be fine if you want to cut off the mother bud ;) With the sugar leaves you can make butter or oil with it and make some shit you could eat at church lol and feed to all the kids and the preacher and just have a good ole time because no one will know you are giving them pot brownies and it would be hilarious.. (Don't really do this they will sue)

Just smoke it, I had some treasure trim from some OG that was killer in joints. You can cut the main bud, it will not kill it. I got one about ready and the bottom branches are ready but not top. I cut a couple lower branch and let the rest grow...rw
