One plant indoors in northeast no grow light

I know a bit about growing the whole 12/12 to turn flowering. I was curious as where I live growing season is wrapped up. I wanted to grow just a small one in maybe 2 or 3 gallon pot nothing crazy. Just regular seed don't know strain thinks it's a hybrid from buddies buds. Will it even bud an produce without a grow light just keeping by window getting just the sun. I know you can spring and summer but with limited amounts of light with winter coming. Don't have resources for what I would need lights and everything to go with. Or a really cheap light that could work for one baby plant just for something to do. Or will a auto flowering work if I can get. Thanks

Hey, you gotta start somewhere. Throw the seed in the window and see what happens. I wouldn't expect anything, but it will be a learning experience. If you really want weed you can smoke, however, you will need a good light, tent, fans, timers, etc...it won't happen growing in a window. Sorry.

Exactly what I was gonna do was move to sunny spots people be surprised I do it in spring to start they get decent before I get them into bigger pot. Never in winter though 9 hrs sunlight. The seeds were from a really good strain. I've been so lucky I've used about 5 for two years and all turned out female. This guy this year 9 out of 11 we're male. So he's buying feminized from now on. Biggest one was male.

why dont you buy a cheap led light from ebay, you can buy 100watt leds for £20 and that will add to the flowering daylight, even if its only a few hours a day to get it up to 12hhrs light

if they can start out next to the window and say just put a desk lamp on for a few hours after dark, for veg, then if you can scrap up some cash in the next month or two you could try to get a 100w or even better a standard 240w led with a meanwell driver to sort out flowering, in a closet somewhere
