I have two GH WaterFarms in a 5x5x7 tent with an air cooled 600W MH light, inline fan with charcoal filter, negative pressure for air intake.
The smaller plant had root aphids, and the roots looked brown. I removed the plants (careful to not damage roots,) then washed them off and planted in a new WaterFarm with new hydroton rinsed in RO water several times. I hadn't noticed the root aphids until I dug a little ways down but there were thousands of them. I haven't seen any since I did the wash and transplant but I'm sure they're still there. Any advice?? Thanks!
Also, how does the bigger plant look to you guys? Each waterfarm has 2x Jack Herer strains from clones. I didn't want to do two per unit but it is working out well on the larger plant. Also planning to do an LST SCRoG this week.
Here's a pic of how they were before, similar size.
- Using GH Flora Series Nutes (700PPM for smaller plant 950 for the bigger)
- pH ranges from 5.7 to 6.2 over time to get full spectrum of nutes
- 45/50% humidity and temp kept at 75 F
- I use 0ppm RO water
- Also use half dosage of GH FloraShield
