don't know the answer but bump. I'm not finding a lot of resources on organic aero, which sucks because I'm doing it right now! 1st grow. Call me crazy. I like it complicated I guess. Anyhow, I started with medi-one. Plants did ok but filter was clogging. Changed to General Organics. Plants got sick soon thereafter but I don't think it's the GO series that caused that. It was stupid decision of mine to add a kelp supplement outside of formulation recommendations (don't listen to everything you hear from grow store employees)...and I mixed Medi=one with GO....but I digress.
Read this thread, which talks about brown slime (because amongst other things, I have brown slime) and beni-microbes (which are essential to organics):
https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-how-breed-your-own-beneficial.html
And the author seems to know his stuff about benificial bacteria and posts about it again in this thread:
https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/389273-root-slime-dont-bother-me.html
...but he's saying that there's no benefit to using organics in soil-less systems. This seems very counter-intuative to me because there is a medium (rockwool) and more air present, which would suggest aero would be superior for organic growing but I have no experience other than what I'm seeing, right now in my real time situation...and it aint good...yet. I really want this to work. Compost tea works after all, especially when you add air. My plants were doing FINE up to a point were a mistake was made. A puzzle piece is missing. They WERE receiving nutrients from the medi-one formula and then something happened after switching to GO. My suspicion is that there were beni-microorganisms present in medi-one formulation but not in GO (ie. you have to add them) or I gave them a toxic dose of something. Or both.
I'm not done researching yet but I will update any findings or situational improvement on here with key words "organic aeroponics" for search que's...because I am finding scant info on the subject. Maybe I'm crazed or a stubborn pioneer. Likewise if you find a silver bullet, I would much appreciate it.
