outdoor crop detection

Hey everyone. This is the first season I've ever grown the marvelous plant that I love so dearly to smoke. I don't have a good place to do it inside except for the first few months but I want to know the safe number of plants in one patch outside to avoid detection from the infrared cameras that the helicopters use

Thanks. I've got six babies I germinated probably 3 weeks ago but they're just from seeds of this nice bag I got. So I'm assuming that once I determine the genders I'll end up with around 3 plants or something. You think that's probably safe?

The infrared cameras (flir) find heat, not plants hehe...so just try to blend your plants in with other plants... 5 mj plants in the middle of an open field will stand out...

People who worry about flir are worried the cameras will see their lights as they generate massive heat.

No no....wrong sorry to say. They detect grow rooms because of the heat of HPS lights. Outdoor well it will be hot everywhere don't you think like during the summer?

alright. thanks Mr. Ganja. should I take any special precautionary measures if i'm planting them in my garden next to my house? I don't have any neighbors close or anything like that so basically I'm just worried about the flir.

flir check heat like whulk said... if mj showed up as hot, why wouldnt tomatoes, grass, trees birds etc show up hot. flirs are used to check serious grows where the hps and mh lights are causing serious heat, not plants! think about it, the spider plant on my windowsill would show up as hot if it could pick up mj.

oh yeah, on that note, how would ditch weed still exist if flirs checked for weed? the dea would find every plant in existance.

i think your right i think there has to be at least a concentration of plants to be caught. and theres things you can do like tomatoes. i dont think they are worried about the guy with two plants when they noticed another house with a heat signal. they gotta make that helicopter trip worth their time if ya know what i mean.

Where in the hell am I?

OK ya guys know wat yer talkin about. FYI, YES flir IS used on out door busts, as WELL as indoor. Ask any1 who has had a DEA investigation done on their outdoor crops

but the bud plants give off no more heat than an average garden plant or anything like that right? because I'm actually planting in my garden right outside my house and I live in a pretty secluded area so the FLIR would be my only worry.

Marijuana grows much hotter than most plants. They CAN use flir on outdoor crops. Not all plants are the same temperature. If they have it set right they can tell the different heat signatures between plants. But if you only have a couple plants it will be fine.
