outdoor grow cycle

i am a first time outdoor grower and i am curious to when plants start transitioning into flower. i planted them about a lilttle over a month ago, they are doing good, about a foot tall and healthy. im in the northern calfironia area, does anyone know when they will start showing sex n start flowering? im guessing september n october? anyone? thank you

I would say around mid-November but thats more of a guess. Just cause thats when the days start to get noticeably shorter.

eh i would say it varies....strain, grow conditions, latitude, ect.....

June 21-22ish was the summer solstice, thats the longest day of the year. from there on out the days are becoming shorter...


i have some northern lights that have been flowering since early June, where as my maple leaf indicas have just now shown sex.

I started 6 from seed in late may...They are all 2-3 weeks into flowering, 3 of them are getting crystals. One plant has developed colas about 18 inches long. I have a dwarf master kush that has 6 main colas that are the size of large pineapples...they stink real good too

Photos as of today 8/15/08.....2 master kush, 4 mendo purple.
Grown in 4 gallon bottomless pots buried. Good soil, compost and guano, a little ebson salts a few weeks back and I just added a diluted batch of mole-asses...makes big fattys...I should be choaking in mid October after the cure......
