Hello to everyone!
I would like to start off this thread by saying that all posts on this journal are purely fictional, and any, and all pictures were found online
now that i got that out of the way lets start this...i have many questions, i am seeking to learn, and get the highest yield possible. I have multiple years experience with indoor growing, and one outdoor season under my belt. But this year im going to increase the scale of the outdoor because i have stopped flowering indoors...
It might be a little early to start propagation for NY because its just the end of january, but i wanted to make sure i have enough time to propagate at least 40 clones, and put them outside by mid may. Also i will be FIMing all the clones and mothers. Im trying to get bushes this time.
Question: I do not have a lot of experience in cloning, does anyone suggest that i wait longer before starting my Mothers from seed, and starting the cloning process?
I have an 8 site bubble bucket, and the following strains:
UFO Cole Train
greenhouse seeds Super Lemon Haze
dutch passion purple #1
dutch passion Blueberry
Dinafem Cheese
Pyramid Osiris
Pyramid Anestesia
Pyramid Tutankhamon
UFO #1 Power Skunk
Question: Witch of these strains will be the largest producing strain, assuming that i get good phenos, i only have one seed of each strain, so i will make more clones of the higher yielding strains.
Question: According to my research, most or all of these strains will reach maturity before frost hits in october/november; does anyone have actual experience with these strains in an outdoor climate and how they react in the northeast?
After propagation, i will train the clones to make them bushier by FIMing.
Question: will i need to "harden off" the clones and mothers before placing them outside in mid may? I will be using CFLs for the propagation, and i have a 600 watt and 1000watt HPS, but i dont want to use them unless i have to harden the clones..
Before i place them in their new outdoor homes, i will dig 3x3x3 holes in the ground and refill with amendments such as, peat, top ft of native soil, perlite, earthworm castings, and powder organic nutes.
I use gorilla style for placement of plots, 2 different sites, and multiple fields at each location. Only one location has a stream near by, but its pretty rainy in NY so i probably wont need additional water..
Question: if the plants dont have enough water, will yield suffer? Will buds not be as big? i think if i set up irrigation, they may be over watered and i dont want that..
Also, heres an idea: If i switch the clones into flower (12/12) while still indoor, when i put them outside in may, will they continue flowering? or would they just start to revegg?? I ask this because last year, one of my 20 female seedlings(NOT from clone) started to flower as soon as i transplanted her outside, and i got some nice solid Buds off her very very early, months before the other plants.
Thank you to everyone who would like answer my questions, as time progresses i may have additional questions.
