Hope you guys can settle a debate between my friend an I.
Would it be a good idea to harvest then re veg an outdoor plant inside, solely for the use as a mother plant to grow clones inside? assuming there is no bugs / pests / diseases on the outdoor plants.

i don't know from experience but i've read that after a plant goes into flowering, it loses a lot of potency from re-vegging.

That's not true it looses nothing from being revegged.
Yes you can keep a mother plant to take clones from revegged or not aslong as you keep it in veg.

Mothers that are forced to flower and revert back to vegetative growth not only yield less, they are stressed and confused." - From Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes

i think i trust him over you...so i'm gonna say i was right...

In my growing experience I have found that to not be true. I have revegged a few clones taken late in flower, after they return to normal veg growth they produced just fine and the nugs were just as potent as the original plant.

the plants are in pots, so easily moved/potted. I was reading a post from fdd on a grow he had a revegged plant and it seemed healthy. anyone else have any experience doing this? the root ball will be huge on the puppies (should i trim them then re-pot? or just chuck them under the lights) , the plants are a good 5 feet tall. strain is either from the goldenseed mega mix or goldenseed tylight, so hybrids not pure indica or sativa.

remember i don't want to to flower it again, just use it for clones. maybe flower them later down the line if i want a new mother.

you should just go for it and see how it turns out. then of course report back here. you'd probably be helping a lot of people out with the info.

that's what i figured the opinion would be, i'll be harvesting in 3 weeks maybe so i'll keep you posted on how its going. No real problems with pests - i noticed some little aphids or something on them but my best friends the ladybugs seen them too :) i guess its a good idea to spray them with a general insecticide before bringing them inside? any other suggestions appreciated!
