outdoor pollinating

Hi guys, I grow some plants first year and I decided to pollinate some for seeds. However there are few things, which I´m not sure about, so if you would be so kind and give me some hints, I would appreciate your help a lot!

1) I know, that pollinating of flower will reduce yield. Still friends of mine weren´t able to explain me...

- if just some flowerings on plant are pollinated, will it reduce yield on whole plant or just on pollinated flowerings?
- reducing yield means... lower level of THC on pollinated flower (like 12% instead of 15%) or lower amount of resin (but level of THC sustains - comparing to non-pollinated flower of the same genetic/clone)?

2) when are flowerings ready (mature) to get pollinated? Are they mature since the very beginning (since first little white hairs appear) or it takes some time till flowerings may be pollinated)?

3) as plant grows and time goes on, do there appear brand new flowerings still over again or you get all flowerings in the begining and then they just grow bigger? I ask because - if there would be an accident and some pollen spread out of control in the begiining of flowering of plant, does it mean, that whole yield is lost...? :-(

4) is it right, that you recognize pollinated flowerings because hairs get brown very early (especially on the tips)? Or this is not 100% clear sign, because hairs get brown as flowerings mature as well?
You see... if hairs would get brown because of pollination, it would be very difficult to know, when the harvest time comes... :-(

Thank you very much for your help and answers!
