Outdoor sativa still not flowering.

I know sativa strains take longer to ripen but are they also slower to begin flower? I have 3 different strains outside and 2 strains started to bud about a week ago but this sativa still isn’t even flowering. She has some HUGE finger leafs.. larger than my hand. It’s not vegging anymore but I don’t even think it’s done “stacking”. I live in the midwest so it gets pretty cold at the end of October.

Strains that start late in the season won't finish here in the mitten. If it isn't in full flower by early to mid August you'll end up dying of frost before it is even close to finishing outdoors. If it is your only plant type and you need that weed, you can make a hoop house pretty cheap and easily.



I am not sure how the flower will be once it is finished, but should be smokeable enough to get you through next season. If you don't need it, I would not keep them around, make some clones maybe if you have an inside room and chop them down because it might not be worth the hassle.

Yes they are slower to flower equatorial sativas take forever to trigger. But when it gets colder they might finish quickly. My Neville’s haze does that .

Yea this is a Mexican haze. I’m hoping it will start the switch soon. I’ll be fine if I only get 7-8 weeks of good flowering in. But getting worried I won’t get even that.

I had one last season and I got lucky to leave it out until first week of November. It really started budding hard mid September.

Yeah I wouldn’t give up man, mid to late September She should be in full force. If you can hold off till late October should get some good smoke. I’m in northern Ontario and was able to get my super lemon haze 3/4 through and it was good smoke by mid October. Good luck
