I have a hydrofarm xtrasun 1000w hps. I have 10 plants vegging. I got a really good deal on the light and couldnt pass it up. however i think im going to get a 400 w mh and save the 1000w for flowering. any thoughts??

you can definately do that as it really does not matter as much during veg, once you put them under the 1000 and change to 12/12 they are going to explode in growth anyway and thats when they will fatten up and produce what you want, just make sure to drop the 400 much lower to keep them from stretchingI have a hydrofarm xtrasun 1000w hps.
