Overhead projector for lighting?

I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to take an old overhead projector that i have lying around and remove a few uneeded parts, suspend it upside-down, and use it as a light for a small flowering room.
Sounds good?

No. Sounds terrible. Completely the wrong type of lighting. Better off with CFL's and hopes and dreams.

II seriously doubt those things use lights suitable for flowering. If I am not mistaken, most of them run on 100W incandenscent bulbs. You would need at least 20 of those to equal the lumen output of a 400W HPS. And also, incandescents produce a lot more heat than light. Go shop around, or at least keep going through the old stuff and come up on some fluorescent tubes.

Wait til spring. If you tell me what state I can give you the best time to plant. I grew weed outdoors for many years before starting indoors.
