for all plants air in the soil is good...thats why plants like the loose soil over the compact matted type....i was wondering...i have a breathing machine.. wud it help to maby route some air lines down to the roots?...or maby sum air stones down there?...or even an oxy tank?...have never read any where about this topic excpet for hydro ofcourse...would it evn help toput an oxy tank with an air stone or 2 n to my hydro set up?...

it is not so much about the roots themselves sucking in O2 but useful bacs in the soil that need air to do their work;) the O2 the plant needs get sucked in by gabs on the underside of the leaves and this is done during dark hours only.

hydro without bubbles in the resevoir is just asking for trouble. if you're worried about your soil, you should fluff it up with some lites. don't run an air line to your soil; that's crazy. classic methods are tried and true. why mess with success?
