paranoia or no?

i heard a story from a semi-retired cop that police/dnr have cameras equipped with special light filters that pick up light frequencies specific to THC. he claimed spotting plants from the air was now no problem with these special light filters. is this legit? haven't found anything on the net about it so far...

light frequencies specific to thc ? i doubt it... if they did, they would be able to shut down every pot smoker/grower in no time.. also, i doubt if it were true, he would be telling folks about it.. more than likely he wanted to judge what your reaction was.. cops talk bs to get a reaction and go off of that. they are trained to read you, not what you say.. hopefully you either don't grow or if you do, didn't react to his statement. if you did, you may be getting a knock on your door in the near future..
