Okay, this question may strike some as being a bit paranoid, but you can't be too careful sometimes, right? Here goes . . .

My daughter and her husband are coming to visit and the closet that happens to be my grow room happens to be in the guest bedroom. They are open-minded and don't care that we use or grow, but he is in a sensitive job and wants to know if there is any chance being in the proximity of plants a week from harvest could somehow create a situation where he could fail a surprise drug screening?

I assured him that when they were in the room, it would be night, the closet doors would be closed and the lights and ventilation off.

Does anybody out there think there is any possibility of my son-in-law reading positive for weed, should some million to one sequence of events take place?

Unless he slyly smokes your girl he should be alright. THC is what they're looking for, and I'm pretty sure the plants don't give it off into the air. So yeah I don't think he would fail a drugs test...

Not a chance he could come up positive by any of the testing methods used... Not even a crazy one-in-a-million-catastrophe-situation-where-armed-maniacal-closet-monkeys-grabbed-him-and-rubbed-the-plants-all-over-his-body-till-he-cried.

yeah he should be more worried about second hand from you than being in proximity of a grow. and still you would have to be doing some smoking for him to fail on second hand.

why would you turn off your ventilation with the lights? thats inviting mold/mildew.

no chance in jesus christing monkey hell would he ever fail a drug test, not even from second hand smoke, espesh not from that lovely odour that ur girls are giving off

this is a great idea.. switch rooms.. and if he doesnt get any second hand smoke or inhale himself he's cool..

but switch rooms and your worry free

only chance he could get thc in his sys is if you are smoking and blowing it at him.. if only you could ingest thc from just being by plants.. that would so rock!

thes kids are a pain in the ass my son is the resident narco here started to grow when he went away to scool he gave me a speach like he was me and i was him we got overit now he just does not say anything and wont go near the basment
