PC Controlled System

Has anyone built or tried building a PC controlled system? What about just a monitoring system?

Costs a bit but by looks of it ya can build ya own.

If I’m just being a newb and these are common place in “Green Land”; ideas on which, where, with what, etc?

I am a computer tech by trade and while it sounds cool the cost can be quite high and i would NEVER Trust a windows machine with my grow. Imagine the possibilitys.

What about monitoring? I started by looking for some form of alarm for the air flow on a DWC.

Would be nice to see all your levels (ph, nute, temp, webcam, etc) by remote. Maybe alarm text messages when things go wrong.

Sure it would but If you can see it who else can? Do you really want a streaming webcam in your grow room? I sure as fuck wouldn't. Besides thats alot of data to go leaving sitting around that could come back to haunt you. Not to mention the cost. For the $1k+ it would take to set up i could hire a bum to sit in my grow room and do everything for me. And if i went that route i would get free supplemental co2.
