PC fan controller setup. Any advice

I am wondering if anyone has any idea how to wire this item up so dat i can just use the power from a wall socket to power it.

I am wonder if i could cut the head off an old mobile phone charger and power it from dat. but the 2 wires for power inlet is yellow and black. Do any of you think the yellow is positive and the black is negative. Thanks

yellow will be positive but the controller draws 2.8 amps so few transformers will be able to handle it. you will need something like a laptop power supply.

Thanks for the info. Would you wreckon i cud use an old charger from a police scanner. I dont have any old laptop chargers lying around
