perpetual growing cycle?

ok so im reaaaally confused to what a perpetual cycle is ive done a bit of reading and people are saying they harvest every week, how is this possible if it takes 8 weeks for buds to mature or do they mean every week after the 8 weeks they have new plants harvesting if so then what is the point in that when they can just grow them all at the same time? any help is appreciated

that means flowering a plant every week. so first week you flower 1 plant then another plant the 2nd week. so by week 8 you have 8 plants in flower. or you can plant every 2nd week.

I run what I would call a perpetuall harvest.

I put six girls into my flowering tray. As they go into the tray , I take clones off the ladies and get them started. Should take about two weeks. That leaves 6 weeks for the girls to vegg.
After 6 weeks of vegg , the flowering girls are at 8 weeks and ready to harvest.
I harvest the 6 plants , move the vegging girls from clone/vegg room to the flowering tray and cut more clones.
This way I can harvest 6 ladies every 8 weeks and have clones growing in a seperate room.
With clones , I can guarentee all ladies. No males.
