Pesky porkers!!!

Hello roll it up community!!! This is my first time posting on this website aswell as my first time growing it's something I've wanted to do for years but always been scared to do because of the laws in the state I live in. Recently I bought a stealth hydro grow box and I plan on growing 6-8 plants but it sketches me out because I don't know if the amount of electricity it's going to use is going to give red flags to them pesky porkers who I'm sure would love a easy bust. Also I was wondering how noticiable the smell would be it has a built in carbon filter but I'm not sure if that's enough! Any advise would be great I'm excited to join the roll it up community!!

Welcome to RIU, the marijuana growing(there are non growers kicking it in the cannabis caffe too) community.

I wouldn't worry about electricity if you have multiple people living with you(even if you don't), multiple tvs, stereos, fans, a/cs, lights, gaming consoles, computers,(so many appliances there is almost nothing to worry about). Also if your only growing 6-8 your probably going to be using a 600watt over a 1000watt. The intake and exhaust fans probably use as much electricity as a regular 10-20inch fan(outlet fan). The only time the electricity is watched is when your running enough electricity to power a warehouse.

As for the smell a carbon filter and 4/6/8 inch fan should be good enough to get rid of it(you could even smoke inside your tent and not have to worry).

Do everything right and theres nothing to worry about.
I watched the cops(on the news or cops) raid a grower who got busted because he somehow left a pot leaf in his front yard and someone called the cops, and his whole grow got confiscated.

Hey Guy, glad to have you. I think you're cool on all counts. some strains smell way more than others so you might want to choose according to your needs regarding that issue. Pay your bill and you should be fine. If you have a smart meter or even if you do not you may wish to send a letter to the electric company and inform them that they do not have your consent to share any information with anyone. If you don't the courts have ruled that you have give "implied consent" by accepting the luxury of having them sell you power and so you have no rights to privacy. Welcome to the land of the free. Thank you guys sooooo much this information helped me incredibly takes alot of stress and worries off me! I hope to start growing this week and I'll show you guys how everything is going thank you sooo much again for your time and welcoming me I plan on taking alot of advise I get from RIU and hopefully my plants will show it!

Welcome, just remember the 3 biggest rules of growing. 1. Dont tell anyone about the grow. #2. Dont tell anyone about the grow. #3. Dont tell anyone about the grow., and you'll be just fine. No need to worry over your electricity unless your going to be adding at least a few thousand watts and even then i still wouldnt be that worried.
