as well have having an obvious difference in look i was wondering if buds with pgrs in em tend to have a stronger smell as opposed to some organic home grown. i noticed a giant difference in homegrown n indoor

ive used triacontanol before in the past, it did not affect smell. at 100ppm concentration & spraying liberally often it sped up the growth like expected.

Pgr you mean growth regulators?
Despite healthier growth and increased resistance to fungus,

pot grown using PGR’s often has an inferior flavor and visual appearance,

and the harshest critics point out that exposure to these compounds put consumers at risk of liver damage, cancer and infertility.

These damning claims warrant further investigation of the safety of these chemicals on cannabis.

Most industrial plant growth regulators stunted growth to make each stage more even, i didnt know there were ones that increased biological efficiency.

Can you explain more save me another google? :-)

You posted as i was writing but yes you wrote exactly how i understood them, good for houseplant industry and such :-)

triacontonal is a naturally occurring substance in alfalfa and many other plants, as well as in bees wax. I've used it in the past, and it didn't hurt anything as far as i could see, it does speed up growth and also seemed to promote branching, making bushier plants.
i may dig it out again, now that i'm thinking about it.

i bought tria from mb ferts years ago followed their crude tria instructions. tria can be derived from alfalfa & beeswax to the best of my knowledge. its been said that it is in canna's boost & a couple other companies nutes.

sorry @Roger A. Shrubber i was typing as you posted & i didnt see yours

Awesome info thanks, ill be googling that later, to my knowledge very few thingams increase plant growth past its maximun, in steps genetic modification. Ill maybe get back to you guys later :-)

look up brassinolide too, (may not be spelled quite right) i experimented with several pgrs, tria and brass are the only two i'd consider using again, and feel very safe about.

I looked at it and remember now, going back to not being able to increase biological efficiency or max growth this and similar pgrs do increase growth but on the other hand they weaken the plants immunity and defence. Good stuff but what you gain in one hand you loose in the other thus satisfying the max growth biological efficiency thing i always quote.

Enjohed the info, maybe ill try some oneday, now if only there was something like that for women like bigger breasts but less talk lol :-)
