blacksun New Member Dec 3, 2012 #2 I know that chlorine lowers pH and dissipates over time...meaning as it dissipates the pH will rise. I have no idea if that's what is causing your issue, but it's a possibility. It was a good thing to re-adjust. You always want to be in the correct pH range. But 6.0 may be too low for soil. I think you should be at 6.5. 6.0 is what I use for hydro.
