pH meters, new v old?

I've got an ancient Blue Lab pH meter. I paid about $300 for it back in the day. It's old, cumbersome, clunky, needs to be calibrated a lot, has a bunch of wires that are always tangled. But it works.

But now I see these pockets size pH meters made by reputable companies. Claim high accuracy, and fit in your shirt pocket. But, they're around $30.

Is it worth retiring my old battle tested meter and buying a new latest and greatest model?

It’s pricy but I see it as an investment!

Can also measure the pH of your soil/media with great accuracy.

And if you get bored you can measure the pH of anything you fancy lol
