Ph Question, fluctuation in PH about one day a week it will be dramatic.

I have a 25 gallon res it seems that about once a week my PH will jump from say 5.65 to 7.50 in a 24 hour period. Can anyone help me track down why? Is this normal? Long time dirt farmer, first time Aero.

Ro water or tap? My Ph used to do the same thing. I started using ro water and the Lucas formula. That helped out a lot.

i ran into the same thing with my setup. first time aero here too. if your using only chemical ferts than you can put 5-8 drops of chlorine per gallon of water in res. this should kill off any bacterial growth in your res. if you have a slime residue collecting than im sure it will help you out.
