Yep totally happens some times. You will find all sorts of little weird growth on plants the more you grow. I've seen plants with small buds in the middle of a fan leaf before.

Other then looking neat I wouldn't call it a desirable trait specifically. Just last week at the garden I work at we had a plant with an extra leaf sticking straight upwards off the center of a fan leaf. It was funny looking. Its part of a big pheno hunt we are doing so we will see if it produces anything special.

Hey there just wondering how that run went, I've got a mutant auto with what sounds to be similar mutations, however mine also has leaves that grow somewhat odd, they almost split with half growing a little further down the leaf stem then the other half. Hope this doesnt count as necro threading
