Are these thrip eggs from my water run off? They bounce around in the water. Also the plants are mid flower, how do I get rid of them without ruining the bud? Thanks.

Yeah springtails probably. They are bennies basically. If so you'll see them pop around on the top of your runoff too skittering around.

I think they eat dead roots, etc.

Nothing to be concerned about. I have them every coco grow.

Quite right they are deteivorous feeders.

Feeding on decaying matter.

It’s a good thing spliffendz. No harm. Not a sign of shitty growing.

my friend says thanks, but when he threw out his 10 yr old coco his grandma.s garden grew spectacular
the roots are in a constant flux of die off and regrowth.

there is also other organic material that ends up in your medium. Dead leaves that fall off and you miss them etc.

anything that decays will feed springtails.

I have seen large populations of springtails cause problems with younger plants though.
