Planning for next season. Experience/Imput needed.

Well, I got fed up with having constant headaches from my grows, along with putting all of this effort in for little yields from stressing the hell out of my plants. Went out and made 800$ so I can remodel my grow. I bought a water purifier, hopefully it will correct my ph and nutrient burn problems. I also have a humidity and temp controller now also. It is so humid here in Michigan during the summer. My friend FINALLY got his med card so I can grow 12 more plants. I plan on doing a 24 plant Hydro SOG, each plant having a 6in area to grow. We are not in the business of selling, but we want to have enough personal smoke to fill the stream rollers daily until the next season. We have 6 strains of skunk seeds we are going to grow. I know most people recommend clones for stability/speed, but we want to keep switching up our flavors and we don't mind waiting on seeds or taking chances with them.

Q: What should I keep the humidity and temp at for optimal bud growth and to stop mold? How long should we veg for to get 1/2 ounce a plant? I understand this is highly strain dependant but our strains are said to be good producers.

Using a 600w digital mh for veg and hps for bud. Have 4 foot vertical space to work with between the plants and the light. Plan on trimming everything off everything not within 3 feet of the light (if they get that close to the light). If my math on the inverse square law is correct, everything getting light within 3 feet should have 10.5k lumens with hps.

Q: how high should I keep the light? to my understanding the plants will shoot up to the light when forced into bud. Or do I keep them close and move them upward as the plant moves closer to them?

I am sick of growing in bubble buckets, they are so much work and there is no room in my grow room to move around. I have to take the buckets out of the growroom to change their buckets and clean the roots. I end up snapping branches and all sorts of stuff goes wrong. if the pumps fall off the buckets they yank the shit out of the plants.

I plan on making a pvc setup that will either have a constant flow or on a timer (so the roots can go on a dry/wet cycle). I plan on cutting 24 x 6inch pvc pipes and stand them up vertically in 4 rows of 6. These tubes will be suspended above the reservoir Then I will put net pots at the top, where they will be fed by by a tube from the reservoir. The water then flows through the roots, down the pipe, and back into the reservoir where it is cycled. Also putting air stones in the reservoir. The return tubes will most likely be made of flexible tubing so I can just pull them out when I change res.

Here is a rough idea I thought up with paint:PVC GROW.jpgPVC GROW.jpg PVC GROW.jpgPVC GROW.jpg

Q: how long should I have the pipes? Never did a SoG I am not sure how big the roots get. What size reservoir and pump should I get? Need to feed 24 girls and do not want to keep filling the reservoir daily. Should I get multiple pumps? Are there fittings that allow me to split the water flow 24 ways?

The CBD skunkhaze claims a 5% CBD. Only 5% thc though. This is about 3 times stronger CBD than anything I have smoked that couchlocked me. We both suffer from chronic joint pain (no pun intended) and want to see if high CBD will help. What is your experience with high CBD?

Thanks for any imput it will help.:weed:

Have another question: At what times should I run the pumps? I heard letting roots dry out some between feedings helps.
