plant food

If you plant in soil that includes a slow release plant food. Will this hurt when budds are about ripe? I read that you should stop feeding the last couple of weeks. But like I said, the soil has slow release plant food in it which feeds up to 9 months. I'm hoping it won't make any differance. I'm not adding any other nutes to it.

i used that kind of soil years ago when i first started out ,i never had any major problems (just burnt them a bit when i added extra nutes ) nor did it make the bud taste nasty or anything ,i think u will be ok .just try getting the different soil next time with no added nutes ,then you can controll everything yourself. good luck.

I think the problem with that kind of soil is you want the N-P-K at different ratios during different stages, and that's giving you the same ratio throughout. It's probably high in Nitrogen, which is good in the early stages but later on your plants will be growing more leaves than buds.

yeah when you get to the flowering stag u might add just a very little of P-K to help with the bud:peace:
