Plant is getting way too big

i posted about this a little while ago, my plant is very close to my lights, and i cannot adjust the lights anymore and i have tied the plant in several places and im basically out of room its in a small box, the plant is nearing 3 ft tall and the lights are 3ft high, ive trimmed a few leaves because of burning and the lower colas shot up to the lights and now those leaves are beginning to burn. i don't know what to do but cut the main cola off, today is day 15 of flowering and im hoping i can tie it down for the next week until it stops growing vertically,i currently do not have pictures and basically all i can do is tie more colas down but isn't that stressful on the sex? even if it has like 10+ stigmas/pistils visable? any thoughts or suggestions would be great

I am no expert at this, but have had the same problem with my one plant continuing to grow towards the light during flowering. I did not know that the plant would nearly triple in height once the flowering stage had been induced. She is about 4.5 feet tall and I put her into flower at 18 inches tall.

What I did at first sight of the plant actually touching the lights was tie twine about 8 inches down, pulled the twine towards the corner and thmb tack to the wall. This forced the plant to lean away from the lights. As the leaves reached harder towards the light, which was now to the side instead of above, she began bend towards the light. This induced more bud sights and she has now stopped getting taller and is only focused in bud production. One more thing I also moved my lights to the side opposite of the direction she leans.

You can first force yours to lean away from the lights then then move your lights to the opposite side and watch her turn corners to reach it.
good luck, enjoy and keep us posted.

I had to cut my main cola, and it blew the fuck up. All the other colas went off every where, and Im glad I did it now. I can stick to my regimen and finish flowering. It looks like I'm going to have a way bigger yield. I tried that tie down shit and it just went around my srting, right back to the light...constantly fighting it. Just trying to help!

dont worry about stressing the plant, itll make it stronger in the long run. i bend all my plants to stregthen em. you gotta remember its a graduall process. tying down a little more each day. unless you can cut a hole in your floor, i dont see much of an option. i have no opinion on super cropping cause i know nothing about it.good luck

so what excatly do you mean by supercroping? I have never heard of it before. I'd try it because it would be great to boost my yeild if that is the result. My plamt is 4.5 feet tall and fairly sparse looking. The top cola is okay looking but not very dense pretty fluffy actually. I am on day 40 of flowering and she is pretty but thin.

Tying her down worked some but....is there more I could do?

thanks
Kathy

I dont know how strong your plant is, but you could do a make the plant think its been in LST for a white so it automatically grows in spirals if you tie it down right. Read some tuts, there may be one or two on here, I know I had a good one. Id find the link but im way to high.

My friend had this problem, for his second grow he had some fencing wire coiled up in a spiral and actually trained the plant around it, every so often he would rotate the pot so the plant moved towards the light all the time, it looked awesome and he got some good stuff off it.
