Plant too tall! Need Help!

Ok, so I'm tryin' my first grow ever, and I'm using an aerogarden duluxe. It has a clearance of about 2 feet. Now I started to flower my plant a little to late, and it's growing rapidly. I'm worried that it's going to get too tall and burn on the lamp. the place where I'm keeping it could have a possible clearance of about 3 feet if I got a longer cable. Is there any way I can stunt the plant's growth or trim it, so that it doesn't kill itself?

You can buy a figure 8 cord as long as the light hood detaches on your aero model and hang the lights with a chain if your plants get big. These can be found online for under $10 with shipping, and I'm sure you can find posts about it. This would be my first option if I were you.

I had a plant that ran into lights before and the top died, but the plant did not--you could cut the main trunk at the top if it keeps reaching higher and you should not kill the plant.

If you only have 1 plant then bend it over (but don't break it). This way the side shoots get light and grow big buds too! It's actually the way to go with just a few plants and plenty of room and light (bending).

Since flowering has already started I'd recommend against snapping them for super cropping. Just bend the whole plant over making it kind of horizontal and move the light closer to the side stem shoots and top.

That happened to me too. I also have an AG Deluxe and thought that i would have enough room for my grow when I started to flower. The plant just took off and I had to build a contraption out of hockey sticks and coat hangers. But just think, bigger plant, bigger yeild. :-)

Well, I only have like 3 feet of possible space, so I need to do something about it.
But the supercropping worked! I've only see the short term results, like it's started to bend up towards the light, but thanks a ton guys, ur lifesavers ^_^
