hey guys. Just topped my plants for the first time a week ago. I plan on doing it again soon to get 4 mains. I was wondering. does anyone else top any of the lower branches that aren't the "mains" but still colas? Or do you only top the ones at the top? Thanks and hopefully you guys got what I was trying to say

I always top the taller branches and let the lower branches catch up to the same height, by that time more shoots will have formed on the topped main. I then let everything grow for a bit then super crop and a crazy amount of lower shoots grow like crazy. I find a good mix of both techniques is the best way to go

top early...around 3 nodes then let her grow for a few nodes like 3 then top again....topping to often will give you empty branches....but yeah top anything you want...imo fim is better then actually cutting the tops.

Topping other then mains. Creates undo need for strong support of those outside early branches...I've seen guys with great patience. Top many times with like 8-12 new "mains" and relatively little support. They do train them to be "spread out" and then up in uniform spacing...They lolly pop the lowers out and up more then I would but, have massive main budding...These are 5 ft plants...they are not commercial growing at all.....No turn and burn here. Very time consuming in veg...
