Plant wont stay up/Room issues

Hi guys finally coming back to you all after a break . It appears I got some indoor plant issues. My plants are seedlings of big bud and red afgani and I got two plants for the life of me are growing but cant sustain their tops. These babies under the shop light + at roughly 80 degrees to 90 were just topping over but until I sadly had heat issues coming home from work one day on a hot day to find them laying over at 95 degrees. Since then they just do not want to recover upright at all. I have had a fan on all my babies since start in any room and I have made it so room temp is now 70-80 degrees in the hps room and a little higher if i close the closet door. I have also staked them with no success. Below are pictures illustrating my problems. My BB strain so far is growing ok and just right now i got pots for all plants. But these two plants are killing me! I know these two plants are growing but they wont stiffen up!

Things Im not sure about:

Best way to hide cables/ballast
Best way to duct hot air? In to the drop down ceiling? How big of a hole we talking? Intake?
How do i fix these babies so they stand up?
Is the light too close?


Setup:

400w air cooled hood (no venting yet) AC

45w Shop light (veg room) No AC grown

Best way to duct hot air? In to the drop down ceiling? How big of a hole we talking? Intake?........ Through a charcoal filter and stright outside, biggest fan you can get, G10 with 12" duct ???

How many cfm we talking for a closet like this? I thought about the ballast but the problem is the drop ceiling is only 8" and I need about 1 more inch. I think ive heard that from the wife before...

Your long weak stems are due to your light being too far away causing the plants to streach for more light.
With fluorescent lights you can put the light inches from the plants, re-pot the seedlings deep enough that the soil is just below the bottom leaves.

Well, since you've already added the extra light that you needed, all you can do with the severely stretched plants, is to re-pot them into a bigger container, and bury some of the stem.

This i think is what ruined it. I should of just put an AC in my veg room or waited until its not 90 degrees all the time. I ended up moving the light due to heat issues. Sounds like repotting time!

Ha, I posted when all your pics were a red X, I geuss you'll never squeeze a G10 fan in there, eh ?

Re-potting as mentioned will help support the stem. Another common method that works.. A bamboo skewer right alongside the stem, gently tie the stem to it. {I prefer the velcro plant tie stuff, sold near tomato supplies}

Personaly. I would get everything off the floor. Egg Crates, some kind of rack, maybe even a bedside table. Its also a place to store supplies. Directly on the floor means easier access to crawly bugs.... and to a degree harder access for you.

Just for reference, to show that seedlings can handle quite a bit of light, I'm adding these pics I just took. I let those plants poke up out of the soil, until they were a little over an inch tall,(about day 3) under a weak flouro, then moved them under this 6-bulb T8 light. As you can see, they are really close to the bulbs, all less than an inch, some less than 1/2". They love it.

That's just to illustrate that there's no reason to fear having fluoros too close to your plants, no matter how young they are. It stops them from stretching, immediately. As long as the heat is under control, bring those lights closer, new growers.

I couldnt agree more, I have grown from seedling under HPS to harvest but i was worried since the air right below it was 90-95 and I could not change it without moving the light.

Will do, I have tried to but we have just moved in to the new home We only have mangled card board boxes. Its on the list though!

Yeah I am going to have to figure out something. Perhaps duct 8" into the drop down... The celling above does have small holes
