My plants are super thick and dense. I think it cutting my yield down and not getting light to bottom buds. What can I do and what style of trimming works the best??

Post pics - hard to say without knowing what state she's in right now. Generally lollypopping will clean up the lower part of the plant. Perhaps some topping, LST and or super cropping will help. Otherwise you might want to consider thinning some branches if it's really bad.

Thinking lolly popping would work best for me. I think. Lol. Anyone have any input? I need to do something about my yield. I should be getting more that 2 oz from a plant.thanks for any input.

At anyone. What I've seen people doing, is taking off the lower buds and leaves, leaving only the stem. I like to take the lower buds off, but leave its fan leaf on so that it can be used to fuel the plant.

It's looks to me like it's too late to prune that plant. Others will disagree, but I don't do any major cutting after day 14 or so of 12/12. Your plants look closer to 3-4 weeks into the bloom cycle.

I would recommend opening them up a little by tying down the outer branches. Next time, try to prune out the lower sucker shoots BEFORE you start flowering, and then giving them one final cleanup about 2 weeks into bloom.

Seems late in the day to be chopping stuff down to me.

Training in veg might be your best bet.

Also do you have adequate space and lighting for each plant?

What is the pot size, height, strain of this plant?

Still shaping.

Half your leafs.

Ya 1000w digilux, 5 gallon smart pots and none of the branches or leaves touch. Plenty of room. And I think the two strains I took pics are 818 headband and red cherry berry

Well if all your conditions are optimal, you might then be looking at the strains you’re using, some yield higher than others, typically.

It may require some experimentation.

Another idea is to start a grow thread on your next grow, where you can get some feedback on what you are doing, when you are doing it.

Invite some posters you consider knowledgeable and helpful to contribute and that may help shed light on a few areas.

On your next grow, consider topping for four main colas a la Uncle Ben's Technique. One of the side benefits (besides the even canopy) is that it really opens the plant up, aiding in air circulation.

Ben, On the plant I posted a couple days ago, you'll notice that one of the 4 tops was significantly smaller than the other three. Do you know ow I make it grow more evenly?
