Plants growing past the height of my light.

I have a few plants under my light that are not directly under but they have grown to the same level as the light. They are not directly under it, so they are not burning but should I tie them down to put them more under light and at a level the other plants are?

yes tie them down, but try and do it a little bit at a time so you dont snap them.

actually you could just "SNAP IT"!! its only suppercropping, and it sounds like your plants are doing somewhat decent to have grown PAST the light!! if you are not far into flower you could just snap it 6 inches or so below the light, or however much you think the plant may grow betweeen now and finish.

if u have the height in room or box dont crop or tie them use books or blocks of wood to raise shorter plants to same height

i was thinking that they were coming to the end of flowering? if they are that tall?

they could be stretching as well. i guess there are a lot of missing factors to consider. but he has options nonetheless

yes you need to put all factors in there like we forgot to ask how tall and age thanks gumball for pointing this out

Ok sorry for the shortage of info. I do believe that those ones were stretching just cuz of the spacing in nodes. I tilted them over to be level with other plants. One I did snapped so I tied a support strap so all weight was not on the wound. I am in 4th week of flowering. still about 4-5 weeks to go I think. I have attached some pics. I hope that tying the outer ones down is not interfering with the others. Thanks for the help!

yeah, just lst like crazy man. let them dry out, then before you water they are more flexible to bend. so bend them then water

What about the one that snapped? Will it be ok? It was one of the better plants. Also does the space look too crammed now?

yeah, a little too crammed, but thats how us growers do ya know!! the girl that snapped will be ok. she may be stunted a couple days, she may yield more because of it, or she could yield a tad less. dont sweat it though, just wait to do anything on her.

you need side lighting or you will have a bunch of popcorn nugs, little weight. you veged for a long time didnt you? maybe 5-6 weeks? you may pull it out of there, small nugs are still good!! maybe do 4 plants next time each vegged for a few weeks, or stagger the grows a little so they arent all mature at the same time.

just tie them over. there already in flowering so you dont want to do anything that might stress them too much. and there not gonna stretch any more cause of how far into flowering they are

Yeah I think I am just going to let this go without adding any more lighting and take all these factors into consideration for my next setup next month. This is my first grow. I do see that it might have a bunch of popcorn lower down. I read that pretty consistently a plant averages about 2 zips a plant and I am guessing that does not count any super cropping or LST. So maybe I will still hit the mark. I just don't want to risk messing anything up with a month left. I am in a small tent now, but next time I will have proper lower ventilation and lighting in a dedicated room.

I was wondering from another thread I read on here, someone talked about cutting off the top portions at harvest time and then letting the lower 'popcorn' buds have their share of the light... Is this a realistic way to go to pull more out of my harvest?

I just supercropped one of my easyryders autos for the same reason, it was hitting the top of the cab, looks ok this morning considering
View attachment 1151344 my first grow too, I figure thats how you learn! I have read about that also, harvesting the "main" cola and letting the rest gog longer, seems pretty reasonable to help put on wieght, I suppose though it depends on the state of the trichomes though, if the lower buds are still clear or milky while the upper is going amber, yeah I plan to let them go, I mean its not like all your tomatoes ripen at the same time so why should buds?
