Plasma and Induction temperature

Plasma referring to a metal halide plasma (most common system today) run very cool compared to hps, but they also use significantly less wattage so it would be easy to see why they run cool.

Sulfur plasma, even the 1300w deals, run quite a bit cooler than a 1000w hps, but its still something that needs to be considered.

Induction lighting is essentially florescent lighting. It runs very cool, but again, is typically used at lower wattage than hps.

Heat signature shouldn't really be a concern. The vent is the major issue. The signature that is most often picked up is where the hot air exits the house, and even then its not the heat as much as it is the contrast to the rest of the house/background.
