So I picked up a ryzen 5 5500 for $140 on EOFYS. Finally ran Cinebench r23 and was surprised to see 10900 as a stock result which is insane considering 5600/5600x skus are testing around the same. I'm running ddr4 3333 c16-17-17-34-56 and a stock cooler. With 2 seconds of All core OC (set multiplier to 4600mhz and left voltage at 1.31) ive got a 11500 basically. With PBO set to +150 and voltage curve set to -10 I also get 11140 and use something like 1.25v.
Stock setting with +150mhz pbo and a slight undervolt.

Base 4.6 OC with standard voltage and stock cooler.

Definitely impressed considering the cost. I can hold 144hz on most games I play (Project Cars 2, The Witcher 3, Dirt Rally 2.0 and similar) on a mix of high and ultra settings with an RX 6600. Im so fucking glad prices dropped. All up I paid like $750 for this build. The mobo is a $55 b550 lol.

All up I ended up with a b550 board, ryzen 5 5500,16gb ddr4 3200, 1tb nvme, 3tb HDD, RX 6600, decent case and a Corsair cv550 PSU.

Just in the middle of throwing a 120mm tower cooler on it and seeing what I can get. It's hitting like 75c in cinebench with stock voltage ATM.

What's EOFYS? I bought my son a gaming computer recently, but it was a lot more than $150.
