Please Critique! Trimming off branches/leaves - newb hacked away!

Hey, I recently asked if I should trim lower branches; someone responded YES 2 weeks before flowering. I have 2 in flowering without any trimming, and today I trimmed a couple to move into flowering. Pics below, what should I be trimming 2 weeks before flower? Just bud site stalks, or fan leaves too? I did some random hacking at my plants, doing different methods on each to see the outcome.

<<Northern Light Blue - I think thats 2 sets of fan leaves, 2 site sets clipped off?

<<AK48 that i topped. i trimmed up to the topped 2 growth. Did i just chop off alot of buds? lol.

<<White Widow, only took 2 deadish looking fan leaves off bottom, 2 more fan leaves, and 1 set of sites. Was this ok?

I have alot of these cuttings in rockwool, incase i did indeed mess up and do unnecessary trimming, at least it wasn't a total waste.

Here are the plants in my flower tent....one on left is looking shiny compared to the newly added one in the middle. Maybe its drying out ;(
