Please help , advice on feeding and mold.

So I just transplanted The SFV OG into hydroton clay pebbles 6/9/16. I've been top feeding 6 times a day while the light is on, it's on a 18/6 on at 6pm and off at 12 pm. The plants themselves don't look to good and I noticed a white powder on the stems and on the leaves themselves. The plants also look a bit droopy. My PH is 5.5 , humidity at 47% and temp at 77°. How often should I be top feeding the clones ? While the roots still reach the bottom. And when they do how often should I flood? I wanted to do 6 to 8 but I'm not sure. And how do I get rid of that white power?? .-.

Depending on the humidity and how those ladies look, you need to water them until the roots take hold. 6 times a day in hydroton isn't enough for this.

So how often would you say I was going to try 8 but I was told that is too much.

Top feed by hand?

I'd suggest upto every 1/2 to hour until established, if drain to waste.

I don't see any white powdery mildew on the hydroton. Is your system ebb & flow?

Yes, well flood and drain. Yea I was told to flood and to just use that water and top feed until roots have gone down deeper.

The white powder isn't as visible with my phone camera sorry, but its not in the clay pebbles but on some leaves and on some stems.

I think your main problem is the roots are drying out. It's imperative that the roots get their drink on. Until the flood level get to the roots, it's going to be a problem for you. I'd worry about that more than that small amount of WPM. After the plant hardens up to its new area, you can treat the WPM.

How much root system did they have? We're they clones? I'd cut the lower growth (leaves) and just keep the top growth to help with hydration. The more leaves you have, the more water it takes. Not sure if some of those will make it. Good luck.

They where all well established just not embedded into the clay pebbles yet. And I'll clean them up fer sure thanks

BEtter to root in rockwool and drop that in your hydroton. Avoids the issue you're having. The RW acts like a res until the roots dig into the hydroton. Keep your RW moist until she sets and voila.

For now tho: make a weak superthrive watering can and keep the hydroton from ever drying out. Thats key and is what constitutes hydroton being "watered''. You want 5.8ph ideally. Keep nute level weak for now. 400 ppm and clean water every few feedings if you are getting significant dry-out on your rocks.

Raise temp to 86, this will significantly increase growth rate potentials. Keep a light breeze in your room. No stagnant air = no powdery mildew. Small amounts on veg plant: wipe off with water and h202. Physan 20 eliminates powdery mildew as well and is probably a 'must-have' for us people who keep reservoirs.
