Nothing huh?
Well... I'm about to start fucking around with this shit again, and info seems to be a wee bit thin at the moment... I ended up here (again) from the first few google links so here goes:
Don't think you can actually buy a PUR meter, it's just more of a concept... Near as I can gather; because PAR meters are just more of an old/accepted standard. Really most (all?) PAR meters are just a photocell and some optics, it's quality and calibration against a much more expensive PAR meter/reference light source, blah, blah, blah...
Anyway, OP was 6 years ago, nobody is reading this, I'm still mad (no surprises there)...
Point being, what we all probably want to think about fucking with is a cheap
spectrometer, don't know of any affordable off the shelf options here, although there is some sick shit in the works (tell ya' later
)...
For now I'm looking at the Hamamatsu sensors:

A new group buy for the sensors needs to happen... Working on that anyway because, why the fuck not? Wanted one for literally years and I'm using the impending purchase of several thousand bucks worth of fancy LED lights as my excuse
But for real, these a sensors seem to be purpose built to work with
reflected light... I'm guessing this matters to you and me, because this means what we can't just expect this kind of sensor to directly handle all the light output of our high intensity garden lighting. IDK, spec sheet lists it as high dynamic range so fingers crossed, but that phrase is nearly as overused as HD so we'll see as soon as I get my hands on one.
I'll be figuring the major details out in the next few days -- worst case a slightly different sensor, or a high quality filter of some sort should take care of this. Stay tuned.
I'm very excited for the future my friends, and I look forward to talking to you all again soon.
Sincerely,
The Mad Hatter
P.S. I'm sure someone else here has been drooling over this for a while... But um... I just gave them my credit card info after about 30 seconds. Just go look:
https://www.consumerphysics.com/myscio/scio/ potentially SERIOUS game changer for our thing, and a lot of others. Okay, just to prove this ain't spammy bullshit, it's a hand held reflective spectrophotometer... They talk abut cute shit like identifying random pills you have lying around the house... So yeah... Next best thing to actually trying before you buy?
