Need an inexpensive and simple thermostat? Thermostatic outlets are the answer. These unique devices plug into a standard electrical outlet and have an internal preset thermostat. Outlets come in two models. The Cooling outlet supplies power at 78° and cuts off at 70° and works great for all types of fans including exhaust, circulation, window, attic, and ceiling fans. The Heating outlet supplies power at 35° and cuts off at 45° and is great for automating heaters to keep room temperatures above freezing. Each outlet has two receptacles and can be used with 110/120 volt outlets and appliances (15 amp/110v).

i have a window unit a/c that runs 24/7 i have it set at 75 and it keeps the room at 78 with the lights on and 70 when the lights are out, it just kind of worked out like that. what i really think is essential is an emergency shut off to the light's power source so that if the a/c breaks or fails while none is around the lights will shut off if the temp reaches 90, that way your shit doesn't get cooked in the event of equip malfunction.

I use a sentienl MDT-1 as high temp shut down is one of the many features that nudged me towards buying it.

Greenback$420 I also live in a hot dry climate, in south central NM, and as the temps outside have risen so have the temps in my grow space. This has caused me to reconcider the way my exhaust and intake were set up. By plumbing the outtake out of the same room as my cabinets I'm able to kiiep my temps in check.

As someone suggested before look at the exhaust and intake setups.
